the Search

                   Reading Philosophy

After the initial phase of existential crisis one either becomes nihilistic or pursue the search for meaning and soon ends up being disappointed for nothing being objective . Some never find their end , Some are just curious , some enjoy the journey , some make their own meaning and some enjoy the suffering . Some even start to embrace the absolute absurdity of life and lose their self to hedonism consciously or subconsciously . Some find a degree of stability in this chaos .
But this quest , sends us all to seek answers . Reading Philosophy , speaking to people , understanding art , seeking God , practicing different lifestyles and so on makes this journey very interesting . But to get here and start trying new things by accepting the fact that , one might never find something to satisfy his purpose or atleast find a purpose to let it be unfulfilled , takes its own time . Sucide comes into question and the struggle begins .

Understanding philosophy is a major way for this stage . It makes one feel heard , felt or atleast makes one feel like they are not alone on this search . One such book which helped with this search was written by Albert camus . The book titled " The myth of sisyphus " deals with various questions under this search . Camus addresses the absurd - the conflict between humans search for meaning and the universe’s silence. He acknowledges life has no inherent purpose, but instead of giving up to nihilism, he advocates embracing the absurd. Camus rejects solutions like religion or existential freedom as forms of "philosophical suicide" and instead urges individuals to live authentically, creating their own values in a meaningless world. Using the Greek myth of Sisyphus, Camus illustrates his philosophy. Sisyphus, condemned to roll a boulder up a hill for eternity, symbolizes the human condition. Yet, Camus imagines him happy, finding meaning in the struggle itself. He encourages readers to rebel against despair, live passionately, and face life with courage, fully aware of its lack of inherent purpose. This book is a profound guide for navigating life’s challenges without false hope or illusions.
